TeaTime Translations is dedicated to finding creative linguistic solutions to bridge the cultural communication gap between German and English while ensuring accuracy and consistency in corporate communications.

After a highly successful career in sales, marketing and product management, I studied for an MA in Professional Translation and have now been working in the language industry for almost 5 years.

My translation experience in corporate communication covers business reports, sustainability reports, technical sales documents, IFS and EMAS documentation, websites, trade fairs, marketing materials and product labels. I believe it is essential to standardise terminology across departments within a company and create culturally sound brand and product communication with the right message and emotions to inspire your customers.

When not translating, I am usually to be found playing my trombone in a beer tent in the summer or at the back of the first violins in an orchester in the winter. I love the way music automatically immerses me in local culture from the brass bands of Durham and Manchester to wind bands in Austria with their amazing yearly cycle of traditional occasions and the „Blaskapellen“ here in North Germany whose services are required at innumerable different types of village festival. Most of all I appreciate the luxury of playing incredibly beautiful classical music in the Laiszhalle, the Elbphilharmonie and the Michel with high quality amateur orchestras here in Hamburg. As a translator, I have worked on concert texts for classical music agencies, audio files for museums, film scripts and tourism websites.

I am a member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists and the Bundesverband der Dolmetscher und Übersetzer and look forward to working together with you.
